Reminder: Clubhouse Use During Snow and Cold Weather
This is a reminder for members who enjoy solo operations at the club.
Access to the club is a privilege available to all members in good standing for at least one year, provided they have completed a walkthrough of operating, opening, and closing procedures with a board member or officer.

I am writing to share some details regarding the upcoming Winter Field Day this weekend Saturday Jan 24th at the Cape Ann Amateur Radio Association clubhouse in Gloucester.

I hope you are off to a great start on the new year. The 2026 CAARA-YuKanRun race schedule has been published and our Race Volunteer Web Site has been updated with the new races, dates, times, and locations.
Winter Field Day 2026 Jan 24th -25th
Just a reminder that the club will be hosting a Winter Field Day 2026 event at the clubhouse on January 24-25th with a prime time open house event happening between 11AM and 4PM that Saturday.
Winter Field Day 2026 primary operator signups
If you are interested in booking a slot for the primary or secondary radio rooms to operate for Winter Field Day 2026 Jan 24-25th please let us know by signing up with the signup genius below:

Those who signs up will have priority over other users during Winter Field Day 2026. Anyone who does not sign up will be able to operate only on a first come first serve basis!
So, if you would like to make sure that your time at the club for WFD 2026 is spent contesting without interruption please make an effort to sign up for some dedicated time slots. During prime time 11:00AM - 4PM Saturday we ask that you only sign up for one hour block at a time to allow for many people to play. No limit on additional slots outside primetime. You wanna book midnight to 6AM Sunday you go nuts and do it!
A couple days before WFD we send out reminders and attempt to normalize the schedule for conflicts. It is imperative that you leave a valid email when signing up.
We will try to have two HF stations and a single VHF station operating. The second HF station is contingent on the availability of band pass filters. ( We have burned through two sets since the last Field Day operation and are looking for replacements / donations.)
