Reminder: Clubhouse Use During Snow and Cold Weather

This is a reminder for members who enjoy solo operations at the club.

Access to the club is a privilege available to all members in good standing for at least one year, provided they have completed a walkthrough of operating, opening, and closing procedures with a board member or officer.

For those already authorized for solo access, please follow these critical protocols during winter and extreme weather conditions:

  1. Thermostats: Do not adjust or operate any heater thermostats. They must remain at their current settings without exception.
  2. Fans: When temperatures are below freezing, the fan in the kitchen (blowing air from the meeting room) must remain on to prevent pipes from freezing. Additionally, the fan under the technician's station in the main room must be left on for basement air circulation.
  3. Doors and Cabinets: When leaving, the bathroom door and the basement door in the main meeting room must remain open. The kitchen cabinet doors under the sink must also be left open.
  4. Vents: The vent at the front of the building marked "Gas vent - do not block" must always be clear. If you find it blocked, please clear it immediately.
  5. Security: Ensure the door is locked and the key container combination is scrambled before you leave. This applies year-round, not just in cold weather.
  6. Do not place or store anything on or in front of the heater in the main meeting room. This includes chairs. Please double check this before exiting.

Thank you for following these steps to protect our clubhouse. It may be an old building, but with the right care, we can ensure it lasts for many years to come.
