"Year of the Club" QSO Party

To all Amateur Radio Clubs:

The ARRL has officially declared 2026 the Year of the Club, and we’re answering that call with a brand‑new on‑the‑air event built specifically to energize your members and put your club front and center.

Introducing the Club QSO Party — the operating event designed FOR clubs, BY clubs.

Other than Field Day, there are very few true club‑focused operating activities. That changes now!

Your club’s station will operate using your call sign plus your club’s age — for example: K2AA/110 — instantly showcasing your club’s history and identity every time you hit the air.

Why your club will love this event

Every mode counts — Phone, CW, Digital

Every platform counts — Repeaters, DMR, EchoLink, and more

Every band counts — All amateur bands except WARC

Every member counts — The more members who contact your club station, the bigger your club multiplier

This is truly an all‑inclusive event. If it gets RF (or even VoIP) out into the world, it counts.

Event Dates - June 20th 00:00 UTC through June 21st 23:59 UTC

How to participate

Individual operators: Get on the air and work as many clubs and operators as possible.

Clubs: Put your club station on the air or allow members to operate using the club call with trustee permission. (Or both there are no geographical restraints)

Your mission:

Rally your members. Activate your club station. Show the amateur radio community who you are.

The New England QSO Party on May 2nd and 3rh is a great time to check out
antenna systems and offers a moderately paced opportunity to work new
states and countries. You'll find a wide variety of participants, from
newcomers to experienced contesters, all interested in making contacts with
New England stations.

Our goal is to get every one of the counties in New England on the air so
we hope you will encourage your members to join in the fun! Even if you can
only join the fun for a couple of hours, we'd appreciate it! Will you be
QRV? Let us know with a message to info@neqp.org.

The New England QSO Party is 20 hours long overall, in two sections with a
civilized break for sleep on Saturday night. It runs from 4 pm Saturday
until 1 am Sunday, then 9 am Sunday until 8 pm Sunday. Operate on CW, SSB
and/or digital modes (not FT-4/8) on 80-40-20-15-10 meters. For each QSO
you'll give your callsign, a signal report and your county/state. Top
scorers can earn a plaque and everyone who sends in a log with 25 valid
QSOs or more will get a certificate. The goal is to work stations anywhere
in the world - and their goal is to work New England stations, so you'll be
very popular!
